Proudfoot runs for Canada at FISU Summer Universiade

Track North alumnus and Lively native Ross Proudfoot, 20, will once again represent Canada on the international stage. 

Proudfoot was named to Canada’s national team that will compete at the FISU Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia July 7 to 12. He will compete in the 1,500-m event. 

The FISU event showcases the top university-aged athletes from across the world in a variety of sports, including track and field. Proudfoot, who just completed his third year of studies at the University of Guelph,  is currently ranked third in Canada in the 1,500-m with a season’s best time of 3:41.11.

This competition will mark Proudfoot’s sixth time representing Canada at an international competition.
